Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Brisco's postconviction motion, holding that none of his ineffective-assistance claims satisfied both the performance and prejudice requirements. Counsel's handling of the GPS evidence was a reasonable strategic choice or, at minimum, did not prejudice Brisco; counsel also was not ineffective for failing to object to the detective's testimony or the trial judge's warnings to recalcitrant witnesses. The Court further upheld the denial of an evidentiary hearing and rejected cumulative-error relief.
