Summary

The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the denial of Medley’s first postconviction-relief motion. It held that Medley’s plea-breach, illegal-sentence, speedy-sentencing, and judicial-bias claims were procedurally barred or unpreserved, and that his ineffective-assistance claims failed because he did not establish deficient performance and prejudice. The Court also concluded that any alleged plea-agreement breach had been remedied when Medley accepted the State’s renewed adherence to the agreement.
