Summary

The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the Superior Court’s VOP sentence. The court held that any failure to provide Crew with a copy of the VOP sentencing order did not prevent appellate review because Crew attended the hearing and timely filed his notice of appeal, and that counsel satisfied the applicable continuing obligations by advising him in writing about his appellate rights and filing deadline. The court therefore rejected Crew’s ineffective-assistance claim.
