Coker v. State

Summary

The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed Coker’s convictions for three counts of first-degree reckless endangering. Viewing the evidence in the light most favorable to the State, the Court held that a rational jury could find that Coker consciously disregarded a substantial risk of death by leaving three very young children unattended while she went to work with a stove operating. The Court also held that the trial court properly allowed the prosecutor to argue reasonable inferences concerning the dangers created by Coker’s conduct.
