Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Clark’s motion to correct an illegal sentence. It held that, under the statutory provisions in effect when Clark committed the offenses, his prior conviction for possession with intent to deliver cocaine made his firearm-possession offenses subject to the enhanced sentencing scheme and the habitual-offender minimum mandatory. The resulting eight-year sentences therefore were not illegal.
