Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Lloyd’s motion to correct an illegal sentence. It held that the sentencing judge adequately explained the departures from the presumptive sentencing guidelines, properly imposed day-for-day imprisonment under 11 Del. C. § 4204(k), relied on sufficiently reliable information, and did not violate the Eighth Amendment. The Court also held that three claims were subject to plain-error review because they were not fairly presented below.
