Supreme Court of Delaware

Crump v. State

September 28, 2022

Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Crump’s request to eliminate his Tier III sex-offender designation and registration requirement. It held that retroactive application of the registration requirements is not punitive and therefore does not violate the Ex Post Facto Clause, and that the requirements do not violate Crump’s due-process rights under Article I, § 9 of the Delaware Constitution.
