Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Cooper's suppression motions, holding that the warrant applications established probable cause and a sufficient nexus between the evidence sought and both Apartment 1 and Unit 8. Because those searches were lawful, the Court also rejected the challenge to evidence obtained from Cooper's Instagram account. The Court further held that Cooper's 75-year sentence did not constitute cruel and unusual punishment because it did not create an inference of gross disproportionality.
