Edge v. State

Summary

The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the violation-of-probation judgment and seven-month sentence. It declined to decide whether the Delaware Constitution requires exclusion of unlawfully obtained evidence in probation proceedings because Edge independently admitted a probation violation and had tested positive for amphetamines. Once the violation was established, the Superior Court could consider the evidence from the search in imposing sentence.
