Supreme Court of Delaware

Getz v. Board of Parole

July 12, 2017

Summary

The Supreme Court of Delaware affirmed the Court of Chancery’s dismissal of Getz’s complaint challenging the denial of parole. It held that Getz’s exceptions to the Master’s report were untimely and, independently, lacked merit because the Court of Chancery lacked subject matter jurisdiction where Getz had an adequate remedy at law. The Court also affirmed the denial of Getz’s motion for reargument.
