Supreme Court of Delaware

Raymond Wood v. State of Delaware

September 10, 2015

Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Wood’s first motion for postconviction relief. It held that Wood’s knowing, intelligent, and voluntary guilty plea precluded him from withdrawing the plea to pursue claims based on impeachment evidence concerning misconduct at the State medical examiner’s office. The Court also declined to consider an unpreserved due process challenge to an amendment of the Superior Court’s postconviction rule.
