Supreme Court of Delaware

Lewis v. State

July 30, 2015

Summary

The Supreme Court affirmed Lewis’s convictions and habitual-offender sentence after independently reviewing the record under the no-merit appeal procedure. It held that Lewis waived his indictment-related claims by pleading guilty, was properly sentenced under the statute in effect when he committed the offenses, and failed to show plain error in the habitual-offender determination or his challenges to prior convictions. The Court found the appeal wholly without merit and granted the State’s motion to affirm.
