Supreme Court of Delaware

Grier v. State

January 13, 2015

Summary

The Court affirmed the denial of Grier's motion to correct an illegal sentence. It held that Rule 35(a) cannot be used to challenge the legality of convictions and, in any event, that Delaware law permits separate convictions and consecutive punishment for first-degree robbery and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony. The Court granted the State's motion to affirm.
