Supreme Court of Connecticut
Redding Life Care, LLC v. Town of Redding
May 21, 2019331 Conn. 711
Summary
The court held that it had jurisdiction to review the Appellate Court's judgment on a transferred writ of error because such review is tantamount to an appeal. It nevertheless concluded that the trial court's interlocutory discovery order was not an appealable final judgment because it was not sufficiently definite and Salinas could still obtain review after a contempt ruling. The court therefore reversed and remanded with direction to dismiss the writ of error and did not decide whether an unretained expert privilege exists.
