Summary

The court held that the Connecticut House of Representatives has exclusive jurisdiction over a contest challenging the conduct and outcome of an election for one of its members. It also held that the municipal-election contest statute did not confer jurisdiction over the state legislative election and that the plaintiff had not adequately pleaded an intentional federal constitutional violation. Because the trial court lacked subject matter jurisdiction, it also lacked authority to issue a temporary injunction, which was vacated. No separate opinions were filed.
