Supreme Court of Connecticut
Hart v. Federal Express Corp.
April 19, 2016
Summary
The court affirmed the Workers’ Compensation Review Board’s decision upholding awards for the claimant’s physical and psychological injuries and temporary total incapacity benefits. It held that the claimant’s work-related exertion, heat, dehydration, and stress could aggravate a latent cardiac condition and that the resulting cardiac event and psychological injuries were compensable. It also held that the commissioner reasonably found the claimant temporarily totally incapacitated through August 7, 2010.
