It also held that guardian ad litem reports may not be relied on as substantive evidence unless properly admitted under the rules of evidence. Despite those errors or possible errors, the court affirmed because the admissible evidence showed that the statutory factors supported the appointment and the plaintiff’s substantial rights were not prejudiced.
