Summary

The court held that a sentencing court may require a youthful offender convicted of criminal trespass to pay restitution as a condition of probation even without a finding that the defendant personally caused the property damage or profited from the offense. Because the damage was the consequence of the collective trespass in which the defendant participated, the restitution order had a sufficient nexus to the offense and was reasonably related to rehabilitation. The court reversed the Appellate Court and directed it to affirm the trial court's judgment.
