Summary
The Hearing Board concluded that Respondent’s felony theft conviction conclusively established that he committed a criminal act reflecting adversely on his honesty and therefore violated the professional-conduct and disciplinary rules. Applying the presumptive sanction for serious criminal conduct involving theft, the Board determined that the aggravating factors outweighed the mitigating factors and ordered disbarment. The Board also ordered compliance with winding-up and notice obligations and payment of proceeding costs.
