Supreme Court of Colorado
People v. Corson
May 16, 20162016 CO 33
Summary
The court reversed the court of appeals and upheld the denial of post-conviction relief. It held that nondisclosure of the victim's juvenile false-reporting adjudication did not violate due process or render the guilty plea involuntary, and that the ineffective-assistance claim failed because Corson could not show a reasonable probability that he would have gone to trial. The court also held that juvenile adjudications are not automatically discoverable as part of a witness's criminal history under Crim. P. 16(I)(a)(1)(V).
