The court held that the fellow officer rule can impute collectively possessed information to an officer who orders a search when the officer acts as part of a coordinated investigation and the police possess the information when the search occurs. Applying that rule, the court concluded that the officers collectively had probable cause to believe Grassi had committed an alcohol-related driving offense before the blood draws, so the draws did not violate the Fourth Amendment. The court affirmed the court of appeals.
