The Hearing Board found that Respondent knowingly misrepresented the existence and status of his tax returns, obstructed judgment creditors' access to financial evidence, and failed to comply with a garnishment writ and court orders requiring payment of an attorney-fee judgment. It found violations of Colo. RPC 3.4(a), 3.4(c), 8.4(c), and 8.4(d), but rejected alleged violations of rules limited to conduct undertaken while representing a client. The Board imposed a suspension of one year and one day, plus costs. Hearing Board Member Steven L. Terry, dissenting in part, would have found reckless rather than knowing conduct and imposed a stayed four-month suspension with probation.
