Summary

The court held that claim preclusion did not bar the disciplinary claims because the claims in the second complaint were not identical to, or part of the same transaction or connected series of transactions as, the claims previously adjudicated. It also exercised its plenary authority to review the Presiding Disciplinary Judge's summary-judgment ruling despite the ordinary limitation on appellate review of disciplinary orders. The court vacated the summary judgment and remanded for further proceedings.
