Summary

The court affirmed defendant's convictions for two first degree murders and the death judgment. It rejected or found forfeited defendant's challenges to death-qualification voir dire, group voir dire, the Batson/Wheeler ruling, prosecutorial conduct, and several evidentiary rulings, concluding that any preserved errors were harmless or did not constitute an abuse of discretion. The court nevertheless held that the radiologist was not shown to be qualified to opine on the effect of brain abnormalities on behavior, but found that error harmless.
