California Supreme Court

In Re KC

July 21, 201152 Cal. 4th 231

Summary

The court held that a father whose parental rights were terminated, and who did not challenge that termination, lacked standing to appeal an order denying the grandparents' request to change the dependent child's placement. Because reversing the placement order could not advance any argument against termination of the father's parental rights, he was not an aggrieved person. The court affirmed the dismissal of his appeal.
