Justice Danielson, dissenting, would reverse and remand for a new trial because the circuit court refused to submit interrogatories addressing the alternate theories supporting the charged offense. He reasoned that the authorities relied on by the State addressed the effect of a general verdict on sufficiency review, not whether a defendant is entitled to interrogatories when the State proceeds on alternate theories, and that the general verdict handicapped appellate review.
