Summary

The court dismissed Jones’s appeal from the dismissal of his habeas petition because he had been transferred from the county where he filed the petition and the circuit court therefore could no longer grant the requested relief. Because the appeal could not succeed, the court did not reach Jones’s motion to file a belated brief, which it deemed moot.
