The court affirmed Lewis's convictions and sentences, holding that the circuit court acted within its discretion by excluding evidence that his codefendant had previously stabbed him. The evidence had little probative value on bias, and Lewis failed to show that the prior stabbing was sufficiently similar to the victim's stabbing to qualify as modus operandi or otherwise support his theory that the codefendant was the murderer.
