Jason Taylor v. State of Arkansas

Summary

The court affirmed Taylor’s convictions for capital murder and kidnapping and his death and life sentences. It held that corroborated accomplice testimony and other evidence sufficiently established restraint, kidnapping, and premeditated and deliberated murder; it also rejected or deemed unpreserved Taylor’s constitutional and prosecutorial-misconduct claims. Justice Danielson, concurring in part and dissenting in part, would reverse the kidnapping conviction for insufficient corroboration while affirming the premeditated-murder conviction and death sentence.
