Summary

The court held that complaints alleging legislative committees violated the Open Meeting Law present nonjusticiable political questions. Although the law applies to the Legislature, the Arizona Constitution commits each legislative house authority over its own procedures, and courts lack judicially manageable standards to review the Legislature’s compliance with or disregard of those procedures. The court vacated the court of appeals’ opinion and affirmed the superior court’s dismissal.
