Arizona Supreme Court

State of Arizona v. Andre Michael Leteve

August 12, 2015

Summary

The court affirmed Leteve’s convictions and death sentences for murdering his two sons. It held that the pre-warning statements made during the officers’ immediate safety investigation were admissible, and that most challenged evidence was properly admitted or, where improperly excluded or admitted, did not affect the verdict or sentences. The court also upheld the aggravating-circumstance findings, the penalty-phase evidentiary rulings, and the restitution order.
